Bruno Taut

”Social needs
Architecture is the art of direction”
This is how Bruno TAUT thinks and expresses himself.
He is a Socialist.
He says
Read, See, Discuss …
But first with yourself.
That’s the only way to become an architect.

When the Nazis came to power in his country, Bruno, who was a socialist in every way, was completely overwhelmed. In 1933, he heeded the call of Japanese architects and went to Japan, where he lived for 3 (three) years.

It has a very important publication that concerns us architects.

It was published in 1938 by the Academy of Fine Arts.

It is the first architecture couplet published in Turkey.

He was invited to Turkey for the first time in 1916. However, in 1936, he literally came and started to work.

He became a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was a consultant to national education and during this consultancy, he signed the construction of very beautiful schools.
